
The Christian Missions Resource Foundation (CMRF) in partnership with key faith based organisations has successfully concluded its first medical evangelistic outreach of 2025 in Tamale. The outreach took place from January 24th to February 1st. It delivered much needed medical care counselling and spiritual support to five underserved communities. These communities were Kpaling, Tindang, Sangnaa, Bukpomo, and Dungu.
With a mission to offer holistic healing, the outreach reached over 2500 beneficiaries. It provided free healthcare services, prayer and evangelism to individuals who otherwise had little or no access to medical attention. The initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of CMRF, Lakepointe Baptist Church (LBC), Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC), Shalom Baptist Church (SBC), and E3 Partners.
A Mission of Compassion and Care
The objectives of the outreach were clear. It aimed to provide essential medical services, distribute free medication, offer counselling, and share the Gospel of Christ. Through dedicated efforts and a strong commitment to service, the initiative brought hope to these communities.
CMRF and its partners assembled a dynamic team of medical professionals volunteers and missionaries. They worked together to deliver impactful services. The medical care provided included general consultations, dental and eye care, and free medication distribution. In addition extensive counselling and prayer sessions offered emotional and spiritual healing to those in need.
Transformative Medical Services
The outreach achieved remarkable results in addressing healthcare needs.
Dental Care: Essential services such as extractions, GI restorations, scaling and polishing (S&P) benefited 180 individuals.
Eye Care: Over 520 people received eye examinations, reading glasses and eye drops. Among them 300 individuals received prescription spectacles. This significantly improved their vision and quality of life.
General Medical Consultation More than 2500 people received direct medical attention from qualified practitioners. Their ailments and health concerns were addressed.
Medication Distribution All beneficiaries received free essential medication. The medication was tailored to their specific medical conditions.
Counselling Prayer and Evangelism A Touch of Divine Healing
Beyond physical health the outreach also focused on spiritual well being. Counselling services were provided to 2425 individuals. These services offered guidance and emotional support.
The power of prayer was evident in the healing ministry. A 98 percent instant success rate was recorded. A total of 116 individuals testified to receiving divine healing. Seventeen individuals experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The evangelistic efforts included house to house visits, and Christian film screenings. These ensured that the Gospel message reached the hearts of many.
A Reflection of Unity and Service
The success of this outreach was made possible by the selfless dedication of over 92 volunteers. These volunteers included medical professionals evangelists counsellors and logistics teams. They worked tirelessly to ensure that every beneficiary was cared for. The steadfast support of partnering churches and organisations was essential. The generous donations from supporters also helped make this mission possible.
